Michela & Sami

20/06/2026

Talamone, Italy

We can’t wait to celebrate with you all. In fact, we’ve been waiting for years!
So please come ready to party.

Our wedding ceremony (or ‘matrimonio’) will be on Saturday 20th, but we’re so excited we see it more as a wedding weekend. There will be an afternoon / evening aperitivo on Friday 19th for anyone who fancies arriving a little early, and swims and a garden hangout on Sunday for any survivors.

So below is a very rough programme which we’ll refine in the coming months, in case it’s helpful to your planning.

How to get to Talamone

We are getting married in a place called Bengodi, near Talamone, which is very special to us. It is a place where Michi, and in fact her mum Alessandra, have been coming since they were children.

The house was built, and most of the plants and trees planted, by Michi’s grandfather Tommaso, who loved this place.

We love it too and it is where we return almost each time we come to Italy. We are very excited to share it with you.

So here is how you get to it!

From Rome
By car
Talamone is about an hour and half drive from Rome Fiumicino Airport. The most straightforward way to get there if you’re coming from abroad is to fly to Rome Fiumicino and hire a car there. The drive is through a motorway and then a main road called ‘Aurelia’, it’s fairly easy to follow.

By train
The alternative is to take the train. Most trains from Fiumicino change at either Roma Termini or Roma Trastevere and from there you can take a regional train to Talamone.

From Pisa
The alternative is to fly to Pisa from which you can hire a car or take a train to Grosseto or Orbetello and then a taxi from there.

Local taxis
Watch this space for the numbers of some local taxi drivers, which may come handy. We’ll add them shortly.

How to get to the venue

Most of the action will happen near Talamone, in Bengodi.

This is the exact location:
Via Gaetano Carotti, 6, 58015 Orbetello GR, Italy

If you book / stay at the Gitavillage Talamone (see ‘where to stay’) we may be able to organise a shuttle to and from the venue on the day of the wedding (Saturday).

Hi guys, if you are on this section you will likely have this message especially delivered to you as, much like us, you have children in the joyful age bracket of 1 – 6.

We would love to party with everyone, but are also conscious that if all of our kids were there we might need 3 or 4 bouncy castles (Tommaso has already told us he is only interested in coming if there is one, which we cannot promise) and it’ll be a bit harder to dance through the night together.

So, if you have the chance of partying solo with us for a weekend while your guys hangout with beloved grandparents, aunties and uncles, cousins and babysistters, we would much appreciate it.

If that is out of the question, however, please let us know, and we’ll work something out as we do really want you to be there!

This of course doesn't include babies - please bring them!
